If ResearchSquirrel is hosting your online questionnaire, you can also have us manage the invitations for potential respondents to participate, rather than managing it yourself.

One 'item' of Enhancement 3R. Invite Respondents includes managing email invitations for up to 200 persons. For example, if you have 500 potential respondents you would need to purchase a quantity of x 3 Enhancement 3R. Invite Respondents. If you have 1200 potential respondents you would need to purchase a quantity of x 6.

ResearchSquirrel will import the list of potential respondents and their email addresses and, when the questionnaire is opened for participation, send out emails to invite them to participate, plus up to two further reminders.

If ResearchSquirrel is recruiting respondents on your behalf (details and costing can be provided in Module 1: Research Plan if necessary), we manage the potential-respondent data ourselves. You still need to purchase Enhancement 3R. Invite Respondents for that management: recruitment costs and invitations costs are separate.

If you are supplying potential respondent details yourself (e.g. customer or employee list), the list must be provided in columnar format in an Excel file (.XLS or .XLSX), with a minimum dataset of First Name and Email Address for each potential respondent.

Note: This product covers the process of inviting pre-established potential respondents to participate in the survey. It does not cover recruitment of people into a potential-respondent list.

Potential respondent list quality matters, not only in terms of the quality (including validity) of the research, but in terms of costs. Invitations which generate return errors (e.g. invalid address or mailbox full) are still counted as expended invitations. If this occurs you may need to purchase additional respondent invitation services.
You normally supply your own respondent contact list, for example customers, employees, members or others. If you would like ResearchSquirrel to recruit respondents for your study, details and costs can be determined and advised in Module 1: Research Plan. ResearchSquirrel does not provide respondent lists to you: if you would like us to recruit respondents, we will also manage the invitation of respondents to participate.
The cost and administration of respondent participation incentives are not included in any module, enhancement or pack price. If you would like to use incentives, details and costs can be determined and advised in Module 1: Research Plan.
ResearchSquirrel adheres to professional ethics standards. Examples of conduct that is prohibited from ResearchSquirrel studies include:

  • Push polling: Deliberately biasing the research in order to favour particular results.
  • Selling: Attempting to close sales via the research.
  • Harmful products: Products such as tobacco that necessarily cause harm.
  • Unlawful activity: Conduct or products that are unlawful unless the research is in respect only of policy development, or behaviour or law reform.
  • Disrespect: Research that makes unreasonable demands of respondents or contains offensive expression.
